Summary: Great Food, Great Book 2009-01-06
Comment: My wife and I recently made our first trip to Peru and we were blown away by the cuisine throughout the entire country. From the ceviche and Asian fusion dishes in Lima to the grilled meats and creative potato recipes in the mountains, it was all wonderful. This book captures the essence of that whole experience, with both beautiful pictures and straightforward directions. It is on the expensive side--we saw the book at the Lima airport for exactly the same price, by the way--but it was shipped very promptly and the proceeds from the book help support a worthy charity in Lima. I have no trouble believing some of the other reviewers who have said that this is absolutely the best book of its kind on the market.

Summary: JUST an AMAZING BOOK 2008-12-24
Comment: I purchased the book about a 2 years ago and just love it!!! This book not only captures the best of the best of Peruvian food, the photo images in this book are like non others. The descriptions and detailed method of cooking is just perfect. I sit around sometimes and enjoy reading this book, because it really tells a story when you ready each recipe. Love it love it. Since then I have bought at least 2 more books for friends and family.

Comment: I visited Peru earlier this year and am in love with Peruvian food...My Peruvian friends say this is the one and only cookbook to have...I have already tried a couple of recipes and they are amazing! This is the book you need if you LOVE Peruvian food...and who wouldn't??

Summary: The Art of Peruvian Cuisine - great book! 2008-08-30
Comment: We got a great deal on this book through Amazon. We have had the book for just a few weeks now, but have made several of the recipes and they are extremely tasty! Don't expect them to look exactly like the beautiful photos, which have been artfully stylized and photographed, but concentrate on the flavors.
We have a neighbor from Peru who had this book, and she says that these recipes are the real deal.
