Summary: pretty good recipes but there are a couple of things that I didn't like.... 2010-05-22
Comment: I like most of the recipes that I've tried but like others who have reviewed said, it's really not a whole meal for $7, it's a main dish so you have to buy sides too. Also the meat recipes often tell you to brown it before hand and I think that takes up extra time that I was hoping to save by buying a crockpot recipe book. She does say that it's not safe to cook frozen meat in a crockpot but I have done it before and never had a problem so I wish she could give the cooking time recommended for frozen (even if she has to say it's not recommended).

Summary: Some Great Recipes 2010-02-23
Comment: I bought this book with my crock pot and I've had both for about a month now. I am very pleased so far. The ingredients are easy to find and the directions are very clear. My favorite recipes so far are the homemade chili, the fork tender pot roast, and the minestrone soup. I'm going to try and make the soup today!! The book also has some great suggestions on how to save money and on some occasions where a splurge might be worth it. The only thing I wish the book had more of was pictures of the food!! There were also some occasions where it says to use a specific size can of beans or tomatoes etc. that I couldn't find at the store.
