Summary: Great bread 2009-01-04
Comment: I would definatly recommend this book. Just recieved this as a gift. Try the cheese bread recipe it rocks! I took it to a new years party and it got rave reviews. I'm going to try the Irish raisin bread next. If you like to bake bread may I also suggest Bread A Book of Techniques and Recipes by Jeffrey Hamelman. Both are great.

Comment: Secrets of a Jewish Baker: Recipes for 125 Breads from Around the World
This book really helped me change my approach to baking. i'm still new at it but i love it with a passion. i realized after reading this book (instead of just pulling a recipe here and there) that i approached dough like a technician before (1 part of this, two parts of that, 1/2 part of something else and voila!). This book has taught me to change my approach to baking as a relationship, one that gets better the more mistakes you make. the more you spend time with dough, and learn about all of its idiosyncrasies, the more you can predict exactly what kind of loaves your kitchen will turn out.

Summary: My Favorite Bread Craft Book 2008-10-26
Comment: This is the Bread Cookbook I reach for time after time. I especially love the illustrations and helpful hints and notes. I've become quite good at braiding the 6 Braid Challah. I find that my 5 quart stand mixer does just fine at mixing and kneading the dough. I've had this cookbook for a couple of years and I'm still trying out new recipes.
