Summary: Fantastic book 2010-07-20
Comment: I love this book! It's a fantastic resource for wholistic cooking (cooking from scratch). I have at least 25 cookbooks so I hesitated to buy another one, and I have no regrets. This is a great book simply for information, let alone recipes. The author explains things simply and I now soak my nuts with ease -- what once seemed daunting only took one try to make it a habit.

Summary: Nourishing Traditions review: 2010-07-17
Comment: This book was not what I expected. It did have some useful addresses in the back, however, it did not seem any different from other natural healing cookbooks that I already had. It did not have the calorie counts and breakdown which I would have liked since my husband follows Weight Watchers and needs a point breakdown of nutritional values. So I returned it.

Comment: I bought this on a recommendation from a friend, and was not disappointed. It offers both recipes and information regarding the reasons why certain foods should be prepared certain ways in order to get the most benefit from the nutrients. great book!

Comment: Sally Fallon has opened up a whole new world of eating for me: saturated fats. I did not realize that the media has it all backwards. The truth is: saturated fats (raw and from grass-fed sources) are the good guys; vegetable oils are the bad guys. Thank you Sally.
