Comment: 1001 Foods You Must Taste Before You DieI was going to buy this book until I read the review. I thought it would be food that may be possible to taste. from the 1 review it doesn't seem that would be true.I thought that for a food lover possibly you may be able to try certain foods that you might be able to buy at the local market.

Summary: Amazing book! 2008-11-22
Comment: This book is beautiful to look through and fascinating to read. The authors describe each item simply and one gets not just the history of each item but what it tastes and smells like. Many of these foods the majority of us won't have the opportunity to try, but it's alot of fun to learn about them and to be an armchair connoisseur. [Actually I was surprised how many unusual foods, I HAVE eaten]. I checked this out at my library but it would make great gift for someone who likes to learn new things and also likes food!
